Vehicle Importers – ETS and SGG Obligations »

Any vehicle containing an air conditioning system will likely be using a synthetic greenhouse gas (‘SGG’) as the refrigerant gas in the air conditioning system. Because SGG’s contribute to global warming, they must be tracked as part of NZ’s ETS obligations.
