It pays to dream »

Dave Filer, founder and owner of Filco Farm & Sport, did just that. ‘Field of Dreams’ created the belief in Dave that he could build a business and service the agricultural sector better in Nelson – ‘build it and they will come’ being his motivational catchphrase.

Member provides a helping hand »
Reading the newspaper over breakfast isn’t an unusual way to start the day, in fact Ben van den Engel, Managing Director of the Ebbett Group, does it most mornings. But on Tuesday 27 March there was a difference – the front cover of the Waikato Times had a story about a young Mum, Laura Marston of Hamilton, and her sick son, Marley. Vaughan Chote awarded for 16 years of service »
According to Vaughan Chote, the Central Hawke’s Bay Branch function in September was simply going to be a ‘meet and greet’ with Greg Murphy, but when he heard there were 150 people attending he began to worry. “I knew there was only a couple of hours to spend with Greg and thought there was no way he could meet 150 people in that time,” said Vaughan. Little did he realise that the main reason Greg was there was to present Vaughan with an award for his 16 years of service to the MTA Central Hawke’s Bay Branch.
