Credit Card Surcharge Resources
MTA supports members if they wish to introduce a surcharge to recover the cost of processing credit cards.
Members introducing such surcharges must be fully compliant with Commerce Commission requirements such as clear signage advising of the surcharge and applicable rate or cost.

This statement recognises the legal requirements of the supplier/customer relationship, and is a popular resource for MTA Repairers.
Also referred to as "Terms of Trade", MTA has amended the sample statement to take into consideration any oncharging of credit card fees to customers.
