Repco Recalls Mechpro Axle Stands
Repco New Zealand has instigated a full recall of all two ton Mechpro Axle Stands (part number: MP2TAS) that were included in an eight-piece auto shop pack; and all three ton MechPro Axle Stands (part number: MP3TAS) sold by Repco stores between December 2009 and March 2010.
The two ton Mechpro Axle Stands passed the compliance requirements (Safety Standard for Portable Automotive Lifting Devices 2005), however variations in production means that some stands could be unsafe to use.
The three ton Axle Stands are being recalled as a precautionary measure as they come from the same factory.
Customers are advised to stop using these products immediately and return them to their nearest Repco store for a replacement product or full refund.
