Dixon Out on the Streets of Toronto

Scott Dixon was taken out of the Honda Indy Toronto while competing for the lead with thirteen laps to go on the 1.75 mile street circuit in Canada.

Dixon retired with left front damage to his car and a large dent in his fight for the overall championship.  Dixon was squeezed into the tyre barrier by a fellow competitor and managed to limp back to the pits but with bent suspension he could take no further part in the race.

Will Power went onto win and extends his lead in the championship to 42 points over Dario Franchitti with Dixon a further 36 behind. Franchitti finished second with Ryan Hunter-Reay third followed by Tony Kanaan, Graham Rahal and Danica Patrick.

Hard luck story goes to Justin Wilson.  After winning the PEAK PErformance pole in qualifying Wilson spent most of the race either in the lead or fighting for it.   With the race nearly over he spun and dropped down the field finishing seventh.

The series stays in Canada for next week's race in Edmonton.
